Alistair is a beautiful, smart, empathetic, and adorable boy. He is an absolute joy to live with and has fun doing whatever activity is on the day's agenda – be it training, showing, going "walkies," running errands or just hanging out at home with his human and canine family. He gets along with other dogs (intact males and females) and loves everyone he meets.

Alistair has a wonderful, outcrossed pedigree (12 generation COI of 2.36%), that includes some of the great dogs from both American and English lines. At 23 inches and 70 pounds he is truly moderate. He has good shoulder layback with a balanced rear, producing correct movement coming, going and from the side. He has a correct, textured coat, is powerfully muscled, and moves effortlessly. He has a beautiful head that expresses his joy at life, and he sings (loudly) when he's happy.

Alistair began his show and competition career by earning his CGC at 16 weeks of age, winning Best of Breed Beginner Puppy over 8 entries at the Potomac Valley GRC Specialty, winning his first two single points from the 6-9 class, and earning a Sweepstakes placement from the 12-15 month class at the 2017 National. Then, despite family issues and the pandemic greatly limiting the ability to train and compete, he's earned rally, obedience, tracking and field titles, his GRCA Versatility award and a GRCA Triathlon Award. He is a natural marker and has enough drive and athleticism to play whatever game you choose. He has a specialty Award of Merit (over 15 champions) from the Hunting Retrieve class under breeder judge Nancy Talbot, a Best of Breed under breeder judge Beth Greenfield, a major reserve under breeder judge Michael Faulkner, singles under both breeder and all breed judges, and needs his majors to finish. Alistair is also a group winning UKC Grand Champion, with several large entry breed wins and group placements under sporting dog authority David Kitteridge.
